Spirit of Place Japan

In Japan, I took a day trip to Kyoto and visited the Fushimi-Inari Taisha Shrine, a place where thousands of arches create a trail to the top of the mountain. It's a popular tourist spot and was very crowded when I went. I decided to take a random path and got extremely lost but eventually I found this place, a rectangular earthy area away from almost all other people. It felt like a niche spot that most people wouldn't venture to find. This short film is meant to encapsulate the sounds and visual aspects of this specific part of the shrine and in a way, make you feel the way I felt while there.
